Rado | Make-A-Wish

The watchmaker and Ashleigh Barty – world number one women’s tennis player and partner in Rado’s YoungStar program – have joined forces with Australian artist Ashvin Harrison to create a unique work of art to be auctioned off for charity.

Involving both painting and drawing, Harrison’s works feature an interesting balance of monochrome structures juxtaposed with colourful details that represent the complexity of human emotions and relationships. As part of this collaboration, Ashleigh, under Ashvin’s guidance, will bring colour and energy to the final painting by hitting paint-laden tennis balls onto the canvas to complement Ashvin’s monochrome structure.

This charity project was initiated by Rado, in partnership with internationally renowned art gallery Singulart, which will auction off this canvas, the tennis balls and racket used in its creation, as well as a limited edition Rado HyperChrome Ash Barty watch. All proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish Australia, a charity dedicated to granting the wishes of seriously ill children.
