H. Moser & Cie | The Armoury
H. Moser & Cie and The Armoury have combined their expertise and passions to create a unique watch, the Endeavour Small Seconds Total Eclipse X The Armoury.
The Armoury was founded in Hong Kong in 2010 by Mark Cho and Alan See. The company was born out of their shared passion for beautiful tailoring and classic style, with the ambition to educate modern customers by introducing them to exceptional artisans and high-quality products. A specialist in bespoke tailoring and engaged in a constant pursuit of elegance, The Armoury is a benchmark brand for connoisseurs. There was thus a natural connection with H. Moser & Cie, an exclusive Maison that distils elegance to an audience of insiders. This partnership arose from an encounter between Mark and Edouard Meylan in New York in 2019. The two men share the same passion for apparel and timepieces, thereby forging a bond that gave rise to this collaboration.
As implied by its name, the Endeavour Small Seconds Total Eclipse X The Armoury features a mesmerising dial evoking a total solar eclipse. Absorbing 99.965% of light like a black hole, the Vantablack dial evokes the silhouette of the moon, while the steel bezel and polished inner bezel ring – in steel or red gold – represent the halo of the sun’s corona, the outermost gaseous part of the sun’s atmosphere, visible to the naked eye only during a total solar eclipse. While models with a Vantablack dial have so far been distinguished by their minimalist purity, the Endeavour Small Seconds Total Eclipse features a certain number of subtle details.
The latter include extremely refined dot-shaped hour-markers punctuating the dial, complemented by the hours and minutes hands tipped with a circle, while the small seconds hand at 6 o’clock is adorned with a dot echoing the hour-markers. Beating at the heart of this perfectly balanced 38mm-diameter timepiece is hand-wound Calibre HMC 327, while the beauty of this creation is further enhanced by a black calfskin strap combining two different textures.
Each of the two models is issued in a 28-piece limited edition and all these timepieces will be sold in The Armoury’s New York and Hong Kong boutiques, as well as on the two brands’ e-commerce platforms.
