Bvlgari | New miniature movement for Serpenti

During the LVMH Watch Week, Bvlgari launched a new mechanical movement, named Piccolissimo and entirely designed and produced in its Le Sentier factory.

Measuring 12.30mm in diameter, 2.50mm thick and weighing 1.30g, the Piccolissimo BVL100 calibre drives a display of the hours and minutes. The extreme miniaturisation of its 102 components is perfectly embodied by its barrel, featuring a total diameter of only 5mm and a thickness of 1.47mm, while equipped with a spring 170mm long when uncoiled before winding. In addition, to ensure optimal inertia imposed by the very small size of the movement, the Manufacture has opted for a white gold balance.

This extreme miniaturisation is housed in the reptile head of the new Serpenti Misteriosi collection of ‘secret’ watches.
