MB&F | M.A.D.Edition
In order to thank the “friends” of the company, without whom MB&F would not exist, the watch brand decided to create a timepiece in the image of the timepieces already made, but with a much more affordable price tag.
Launched under the “M.A.D.Edition” label, in connection with the world of mechanical art created by the M.A.D.Galleries, the M.A.D.Edition watch was initially offered to the hundred or so people who have contributed to the creation of MB&F timepieces since 2005. Photographers, writers, designers and others with whom the company works in parallel also benefited from this initial offer – which was subsequently extended to members of “The Tribe”, the collectors’ club that has supported MB&F since its inception.
The structure of the case and the time display of the M.A.D.Edition watch are particularly innovative, with an upside-down movement allowing the titanium and tungsten rotor to be placed at the top, as well as hours and minutes rings rotating around the case. The choice of movement was the Miyota calibre, which has a unidirectional winding system enabling the rotor to turn easily at high speed. The watchmakers of the Geneva-based company are however still making the final modifications required.
Given the success of this first M.A.D.Edition watch, MB&F is examining the possibility of making this timepiece available to a wider audience.
