Alpina | Support the Salomon Foundation

The members of the Alpina community had the opportunity to choose the movements, cases, dials, hands and bracelet/straps to define three new watches, each dedicated to a different universe: Alpiner for the Earth, Seastrong for the Sea and Startimer for the Air. To create these models, the brand wanted to pay tribute to the environment, its source of inspiration since its creation in 1883, by reusing existing and unused components in order to reduce its ecological impact.

For the Earth, the winning model is an Alpiner 4 Chronograph, equipped with a Lajoux-Perret three-counter automatic movement. Displaying a blue dial with sunray decoration, its silvered hands perfectly match its steel bracelet.

Divers opted for a Seastrong Diver 300 Automatic, with a steel case coated with a PVD titanium treatment. Its midnight blue dial, reflecting the depth of the water, features luminescent silver hands topped with a hint of red. The whole is embellished with a blue Nato-style strap made from recycled plastic.

Finally, aviation enthusiasts voted for a steel Startimer Automatic - a reference to traditional pilots’ watches - enriched with a PVD titanium treatment and mounted on a blue strap made from recycled plastic. Elegant silver hands sweep around a blue sunray dial, for enhanced legibility during flight.

As part of this project, Alpina is pleased to backing the Salomon Foundation, dedicated to supporting mountain professionals who are physically disabled and their families. On December 11th 2021, on International Mountain Day, for each watch sold, a donation of 25 Euros will be made to the Foundation.
